Eth-Farm Digital Warehouse & Financing Platform
Eth-Farm is a nationally integrated digital platform designed to modernize Ethiopia’s warehouse receipt system. It connects operators, warehouses, farmers, cooperatives, processors, banks, and regulators(MoTRI) into a single transparent ecosystem — enabling secure storage, digital receipts, and fully online loan processing without physical bank visits.
🇪🇹 First-of-Its-Kind in Ethiopia
For the first time in Ethiopia’s loan history, borrowers can submit loan documents digitally from their dashboard, communicate directly with banks, receive feedback or rejection reasons, and re-apply — all without visiting a bank branch.
🔄 End-to-End Platform Flow
- 1. Operator Onboarding: Warehouse owners apply to become operators. MOTRI reviews and approves only operator requests and competency certification.
- 2. Operator Dashboard Access: Approved operators manage teams, warehouses, and system operations.
- 3. Warehouse Operations: Warehouses receive products, issue digital receipts, and manage stock securely.
- 4. Depositor Registration: All depositor types — including farmers, cooperative unions, and processors — may self-register or be registered by warehouses, ensuring inclusive access to secure storage, digital receipts, and financing services.
- 5. Digital Loan Request: Farmers, cooperatives, or processors submit loan requests digitally to selected bank branches.
- 6. Bank Review & Communication: Banks review, request additional documents, or provide feedback directly through the platform.
- 7. Receipt Issuance: Products can be stored either for loan-based or non-loan purposes, with clear receipt classification.
- 8. Approval or Rejection: Approved loans are disbursed directly to borrower accounts. Rejected requests include clear reasons and allow re-submission.
- 9. Repayment & Release: Upon repayment, banks notify warehouses to release stored products securely.
